Solander Collections
Invented in the 18th century, Solander boxes provide archival protection for matted works, along with the opportunity for collectors to take out, view and enjoy images one by one and without glass. (This is the very best way to privately enjoy watercolours.)
Over the years our studio has put aside and boxed many of Tony’s finest collections in watercolour, including his Tate research studies into JMW Turner & John Sell Cotman, 18th century monochrome, colour beginnings and others.
They are available for private viewing when requested.
